A Peek Inside: Lauren & John's House

Just as much as I love to decorate my own home, I love to peek inside friends' homes to get inspired! So when my friend Jana asked if I wanted to visit her niece, Lauren, at her new house, I was, of course, more than willing to join!

Lauren and her husband, John, moved into their home in Dallas about two weeks ago. Before they moved in, they did a Phase I redo on their house, which included a kitchen redo, painting, some new doors, several new light fixtures, and new banisters on the stairs. They also began removing some outdated wallpaper.

We began with a quick tour and then enjoyed sitting in Lauren's dining room as we shared a yummy meal that Jana made and shared stories. She shared lots of fun thoughts and wishes she has for her new house.

Here is a sneak peak of some of the things Lauren and John have done in their new home:

In her kitchen, Lauren gave her cabinets a new face and painted them Benjamin Moore White Dove. I loved the satin nickel hardware, as well as the side open shelving.

The picture below does not do justice to the great light fixtures she recently hung in her kitchen.

I was also a fan of her stainless GE convection 36" range.

While she was at work that day, a matching pair of gray lamps arrived, and she had many ideas regarding where to put them.

Notice her fabulous white subway tile with gray grout and white honed marble. I told Lauren I could live in her kitchen!

Lauren has impeccable taste with a fun eclectic flare. It was a joy and so inspirational to see what she has done and what she hopes to do.

I did not take nearly enough pictures and wish I had gotten shots of her paint color, entry light, faucet, and other great details, but I look forward to going back and taking more next time!

Thank you so much Lauren for letting me take a peek inside! :)
