The weather may have been a bit cloudy and dark outside yesterday, but a lot of fun updates continued to happen to help our home become a bright and welcoming place! Since we left for vacation this morning, we wanted to get a few things done before we left.
At the top of the list was the installation of the backsplash in the kitchen. As you may remember, it arrived the other day, and the painters finished painting the cabinets grey a few days later. Rodney worked hard to install the backsplash yesterday, and we are very happy with how it looks!

In addition, we have continued to make some updates to the entry way of the house:
And the rug that we ordered for the entry arrived and has found its home!
Unfortunately, the other rug we ordered for the family room was on back order until May. Since Rodney and I really didn't want to wait for it, we decided to switch it up. We originally chose the Medallion Platinum from Dash & Albert at Gray Living (pictured left), but we decided to instead order the Catamaran Stripe from the same company (pictured right). I will, of course, keep you posted, on when it arrives!
Another quick update...my majolica collection has found its home in the dining room:
And finally, a sneak preview! Rodney & I were at Gray Living and found this light fixture. It's currently hanging in the store but will soon hang between the dining room and master bedroom. Stay tuned!
