The Look for Less: Coral Fan Candlesticks

As I mentioned yesterday, I love Gray Living! I have purchased many great pieces from there, including rugs and lighting. I often use their decor as inspiration for my own DIY projects. Many times, I already have the basic supplies I need to make something similar and allows me to save some money and get the "Look for Less."

On a recent visit to the store, I saw these great coral fan candlesticks (in the center of the photo below) which I absolutely loved, but I realized that I already had a candlestick at home which could be revamped to create a similar look.

To create my own version, I used a cast iron candlestick I've had for years (a little smaller than theirs), shells ($2.99) from Hobby Lobby, glue ($7.99) from JoAnn Fabrics, and a coral fan ($5.50) from Gray Living.

Altogether, my supplies cost me less than $20! The original coral fan candlestick was around $350, so my simple project saved me over $300!

The candlestick from Gray Living was a bit thicker than mine, so I used a few more shells to make up for that. I'm very happy with my final product and happy to have gotten "The Look for Less!"
